Privacy Policy

Ace 21 Inc. ("Ace 21", "we", "us") is a courier, freight, brokerage and warehousing company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, ace21inc.com, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

We follow Canadian privacy law, including Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

Quote requests

Our courier quote form and our Freight / 3PL quote form ask for:

• Your name, email address and phone number

• Your company name

• Pickup and delivery details (such as addresses, dates and times)

• Shipment details (such as what is being shipped, size, weight and any special handling)

Contact forms

Our contact forms ask for your name, your email address and your message.

Email updates (optional)

Our forms include an optional checkbox to receive email updates from us. It is never checked for you, and you do not have to tick it to get a quote.

Cookies and analytics

Our website runs on Squarespace. Like most websites, it uses cookies and similar tools to make the site work and to give us basic, general statistics about visits, such as pages viewed, browser and device type, and approximate location. See "Cookies and analytics" below.

Pharmacy and medical deliveries

Please do not include patient names, prescription details or other health information in our website forms. If a delivery involves health information, we will arrange what we need directly with the pharmacy or sender, not through the website.

Why we collect it

We use the information you give us to:

• Respond to your quote request or message

• Plan, book and carry out your pickup, delivery, freight move or warehousing service

• Contact you about your shipment or account

• Send you email updates, but only if you opted in

• Keep business records and meet our legal and tax obligations

• Keep our website working and understand, in general terms, how people use it

We only collect what we reasonably need for these purposes.

Consent

By submitting a form, you agree that we can use your information to respond to you and provide the service you asked for, as described in this policy.

Email updates: we will only send you marketing or update emails if you tick the opt-in box or otherwise give us permission, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing logistics@ace21inc.com. Unsubscribing will not affect emails about a shipment or quote you have with us.

You can withdraw your consent to other uses of your information at any time, subject to legal or contract limits. If you do, we may not be able to provide some services. We will tell you if that is the case.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

We share information only when needed:

• Service providers: companies that help us run our business, such as Squarespace (our website host and form provider) and our email provider. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.

• Carriers and partners: when we arrange or broker a shipment, we share the pickup, delivery and shipment details that the carrier, driver or warehouse needs to complete the job.

• Legal reasons: when required or allowed by law, for example to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the safety of people or property.

• Business changes: if our business is sold or merged, information may be transferred to the new owner, who must continue to protect it.

Where your information is stored

Form submissions are sent by email to logistics@ace21inc.com and are also stored in our Squarespace account.

Some of our service providers, including Squarespace, may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of that country, and authorities there may be able to access it. If you have questions about how our service providers outside Canada handle personal information, contact our privacy contact at logistics@ace21inc.com.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires (for example, for tax and business records). Quote requests that do not lead to work are deleted or anonymized when we no longer need them. If you unsubscribe from email updates, we keep only what we need to make sure we do not email you again.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including password-protected accounts, limiting access to staff who need it, and relying on our service providers' security, such as encrypted (HTTPS) connections on our website. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the regulators if a privacy breach is likely to cause you real risk of significant harm, as the law requires.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies set by Squarespace. Some are needed for the site to work properly, and others help us see general site traffic and performance. We use this information in summary form and do not use it to identify you personally.

Third-party links and the client portal

Our website links to other sites, including our client login portal, which is run by TransVirtual. When you use those sites, their own privacy policies apply, not this one. We encourage you to read their policies. We are not responsible for how other sites handle your information.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we have about you and how it has been used and shared

• Correct information that is wrong or incomplete

• Withdraw your consent, including unsubscribing from emails

We will respond within the time the law allows (generally 45 days in Alberta and 30 days under federal law). In some cases the law allows or requires us to refuse a request, and if so we will explain why.

Children

Our website and services are for businesses and adults. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
